    DescriptionAmelia McRae's shoes she wore during the Inauguration Ball of Thomas Chipman McRae as the twenty-sixth Governor of Arkansas on January 12, 1921. The shoes are made of black satin and feature a single strap that is fastened by a button above a net design on the side of the shoe. White fabric lines the interior of the shoes.

    Amelia Ann White McRae was born on October 6, 1855. She served as the twenty-sixth First Lady of Arkansas from 1920 to 1925. She died on December 4, 1947.
