    DescriptionBrown wooden cross embellished with raised floral designs along edges. Embossed silver painted letters "Ark" and "WCTU" "Excelsior" painted on plaque attached to middle of cross.
    Framed, typewritten history of the cross, gold painted frame with glass.
    "History This cross was presented to the state W.C.T.U. about 1902 or 1903 by the school for the deaf, Professor Frank B. Yates, Superintendent, Sidney King, Wood Carving instructor. Its first trip was to the World Convention at Geneva, Switzerland. It accompanied the flag to all world and national conventions thereafter until 1921. Lulu Markwell"
