DescriptionThis object is a letter from the Property Returns Division of the Ordnance Ofiice of the U.S. War Department and written to Major E.L. Joy, Judge Advocate formerly Capt. Co. B 36th Iowa Infantry and states,

"Sir:
I have to acknowledge the receipt of your affidavit concerning your accountability for Ordnance and Ordnance Stores.
The records of this Office show that no returns for such property are due from you, and you are therefore relieved from all accountability on that account.
