DescriptionBlack and white Louis Jordan booking ad placed by Decca Records. A photo of Jordan wearing a light colored suit and striped tie. He has both hands out. "Louis Jordan" is on top of ad in large upper case bold letters with music bars enclosing his name. Two dice are in the lower left corner and a schedule of dates and cities of his next three appearances. There are small tears running along the left side of the ad. The back of the ad contains non-related advertisements and various small articles.

Louis Jordan was born July 8, 1908 in Brinkley, Arkansas. He was an African-American musician, singer and song writer. He briefly attended Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, majoring in music. Although he could play a variety of instruments, he was best known for his saxophone playing and was nicknamed "The King of the Jukebox." He appeared in and sang in a number of movies over the years. Jordan died February 4, 1975.
