    DescriptionPolitical cartoon titled "The Lone Democratic Fisherman" about Judge C.D. Wood. Printed by Allie Printing Co. in Little Rock. Black text on yellowed newsprint. The cartoon shows Wood wearing a large hat, sitting beside a pond and fishing. Underneath him: "C.D. Wood/Usual Occupation on Election Day".

    The Lone Democratic Fisherman
    He fishes and fiddles and fools his time away
    And hopes to get the Democratic nomination anyway
    Other Democrats must be loyal, true and tried;
    But as for Judge Wood - give him the office, he'll be satisfied

    [Judge Wood admits he did not vote for the Democratic nominees the two last elections. He says he was away from home. Nobody sent him, however, and no public duty called him away. Is he entitled to a Democratic nomination?]
