DescriptionSurveyor's Compass and case. Brass with levels, knobs, and gauges, etc.
Brass Compass-glass front covering compass face. Engraved on face: "Eugene Dietzgen Co., 835, New Orleans" Brass arms extend out from top and bottom of compass face-two, small brass levels, one horizontal, one vertical, attached to upper brass arm, lower brass arm contains circular gauge and horizontal gauge with mechanism for adjustment/ Brass knobs (3 in all) interchangeable?/ 2 brass pieces, 5 1/2" long, included in case/ case is made of stained poplar(?), brass hinges, lock, hooks and eyes on outer portions of case...see file.
