DescriptionA memorial service card for Arkansas native, Louis Jordan. He passed away February 4, 1975. The card features a photograph of Louis Jordan and contains a list of performers and readers at the funeral and the 23rd Psalm on the back page. The service was held at Spalding La Brea Chapel in Los Angeles. Louis Jordan was buried at Mount Olive Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.

Louis Jordan was born July 8, 1908 in Brinkley, Arkansas. He was an African-American musician, singer and song writer. He briefly attended Arkansas Baptist College in Little Rock, majoring in music. Although he could play a variety of instruments, he was best known for his saxophone playing and was nicknamed "The King of the Jukebox." He appeared in and sang in a number of movies over the years. Jordan died February 4, 1975.
