DescriptionPoster from the movie, "6 Bridges to Cross" starring Arkansas natives, Julie Adams and J.C. Flippen. Jay C. Flippen was born March 6, 1899 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a character actor who often played sheriffs or criminals starring both in television and films from the 1940s to 1960s. He appeared in over 100 films and television series. Flippen died February 3, 1971.
Julie Adams was born Betty Adams on October 17, 1926, in Waterloo, Iowa, but grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a film and television actress who is best known for her role in the film “The Creature from the Black Lagoon." She attended Little Rock Junior College (now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock). She changed her name to Julie Adams when she started working for Universal Pictures in 1949. She has appeared in over 100 films and TV series.
