    Julie Adams was born Betty Adams on October 17, 1926, in Waterloo, Iowa, but grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. She is a film and television actress who is best known for her role in the film “The Creature from the Black Lagoon." She attended Little Rock Junior College (now the University of Arkansas at Little Rock). She changed her name to Julie Adams when she started working for Universal Pictures in 1949. She has appeared in over 100 films and TV series.

    In the movie, four young actresses from around the world are called to Hollywood to test for a movie and are romantically pursued by four different men.
