    DescriptionCarte de Visite of Lt. George L. Hax. Hax served in Co. H and was from Shiloh, Illinois. He joined the Union Army in April, 1863, signing up in Bolivar, TN. Hax is listed as a 2nd Lieut. in Civil War records. When he signed up, he listed himself as German and his occupation as a clerk. Hax also listed himself as 5'7", fair complexion and hair and blue eyes.
