    DescriptionPortrait of Lorenzo Gibson. Small, round and framed. This is a copy of an original portrait and was painted by Lorenzo's granddaughter, Maria Gibson.
    Lorenzo Gibson was a lawyer, doctor and business man. He was appointed by President Zachary Taylor as Surveyor General for Arkansas. He served in the House in 1843-1844 and later during 1856-1857. In 1840, he was a candidate for the Whig party.
