General, here within I send you the application of Andrew J. Jack a citizen of Arkansas. He was enlisted under the belief that it was for an Arkansas Organization, by false representations being made to him as well as others as I am informed,- I beseech you if it is in your power to grant his request , and have him transferred to the hospital at this place-that he may have the consolation of being near his family-this would be better than medicine.
