    DescriptionCarte de Visite depicting the bust of a Union officer. The mustached man is wearing a Union frock coat with just the top button buttoned. There is a handwritten inscription at the bottom of the front image, "Your true friend, E.E. Knowlton."

    Knowlton served in the Ohio 19th Infantry, Ohio 2nd Cavalry, and Ohio 25th Light Artillery before finally being commissioned as Captain into "I" Company of the Arkansas 4th Cavalry.

    There is a two cent stamp on the back.
