She also said her mother (Massillene) told her the image of Modesk was painted in after her death - tin painted black - unknown accretions on surface - illegible signature on lower right corner.

    Daughters of Mary E. Johnson.

    Mary Johnson born on October 23, 1835 in Alabama. Died November 20, 1910 in Izard County, Arkansas. She is buried in Nail Cemetery in Izard County.
