DescriptionMiniature portrait of General Lewis Addison Armistead in a hand-decorated glass enclosure. Enclosed in glass frame taped on the sides. Gen. Armistead served in the Civil War for the Confederacy. He was killed at Gettysburg. The frame surrounding the photograph was said to have been assembled by Miss Hester Marshall, niece of John Marshall, former chief justice of the Supreme Court.
