DescriptionMantel from the Arkansas Building at the 1904 World’s Fair held in St. Louis. The mantel has two shelves with mirror in between, carved scroll with leaves, and a carved frame around the space for fireplace. After the fair closed, Artemus Floyd Wolfe dismantled the building and moved it to Fayetteville, Arkansas where he and his family lived. Architectural Antiques refurbished the mantle in 1984 before it joined the Old State House Museum Permanent Collection.
