DescriptionA black and white promotional movie poster that features Arkansas native Johnny Cash from the 1961 gangster film "Five Minutes to Live." The poster shows an image of Cash aiming a machine gun into the foreground and snarling. Cash is wearing a black suit and a partially unbuttoned white dress shirt in the image. The poster is autographed above Cash's right shoulder in blue ink, "Sincerely Yours, Goddard Lieberson!" Goddard Lieberson was the president of Columbia Records and was known to be feuding with Cash over contract issues. Several holes can be found at the top of the poster, a likely result from fastening to a wall for display. The image has been pasted to a piece of cardboard. The film was retitled "Door-to-Door Maniac" for its re-release in 1966. In the film, Cash plays a hardened criminal named Johnny Cabot.

John R. Cash, better known as Johnny, was born on February 26, 1932, in Kingsland, Arkansas, and was raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black," Cash was a singer/songwriter, actor, and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, "The Johnny Cash Show"). Cash died September 12, 2003.
