DescriptionJohnny Cash custom made Nudie Cohn suit. Wool gabardine with brass buttons, embroidered American eagles clutching olive branch and arrows, "1776-1976", splash breast pockets, embroidered blue star on each collar point, cuffs have 8 blue stars and brass buttons, red, white, blue stars on shoulders. Cash wore this suit when he appeared before Congress in 1976 for the United States Bicentennial celebration.

Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black”, he was a singer/songwriter, actor and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, The Johnny Cash Show). Cash died September 12, 2003.
