This quilt was made by Mrs. Julia M. Murray (1859-1956) in Des Moines, Iowa. This quilt was used at the foot of the bed of Mr. and Mrs. Murray as a light cover according to her daughter who donated the quilt to the Old State House Museum in 1978.
