Captured at Jonesboro, Georgia on September 1, 1864 by 2nd Lt. Jerry Kuder of the 74th Indiana Infantry, Co. The flag was returned to Arkansas in 1905 by Resolution of Congress. It had been in the care of the War Department up to then. The Arkansas Division of the United Daughters of the Confederacy (UDC) offered (to Governor Davis) to be the custodians of the returned flag. The flag was probably used in a Confederate reunion parade in 1911, and then stored until 1915, when they were turned over to the Arkansas Historic Commission (now State Archives). In 1960, they were given to the Old State House Museum.
