DescriptionAn exam used during a course at the University of Arkansas Medical School. The exam is titled "Examination in Head & Neck" and asks eight questions regarding the anatomy of the head and neck. This exam would have been taken by a medical student while the University of Arkansas Medical School was housed at the Old State House.

Transcript is as follows:

"Examination in Head & Neck
1. How are the muscles of the back arranged?
2. Make an outline drawing of a section of the neck at the level of the thyroid cartilage.
3. Make a diagram of the side of the neck showing the nerves, (naming them) of the superficial cervical plexus.
4. Give the nerve and blood supply to the orbit.
5. Give the blood and nerve supply to the scalp.
6. & 7. Name the cranial nerve in order and tell where their exit and parts supplied and whether motor or sensory.
8. Describe the masseter muscle giving origin and insertion."
