DescriptionRecord album, "Johnny Cash at San Quentin" Produced by Columbia Records and Bob Johnston. A side profile of Cash is on the front cover holding a microphone in his right hand and has his guitar strapped on his back. The background has blue tones. The back of the cover contains 12 small photos of Cash and prison inmates along with the song titles in white lettering on a black background.

Johnny Cash was born John R. Cash on February 26, 1932 in Kingsland, Arkansas and raised in Dyess, Arkansas. Nicknamed “The Man in Black”, he was a singer/songwriter, actor and author (writing two autobiographies). He acted in both movies and television (including his own variety show, The Johnny Cash Show). Cash died September 12, 2003.
