DescriptionAn executive pardon issued by Jeff Davis to John C. Honey. This document was issued on February 17, 1902 by Davis to pardon John C. Honey from Greene County, Arkansas, who had been convicted of the crime of carrying a pistol on December 25, 1901.

Jefferson "Jeff" Davis was born in Rocky Comfort, Arkansas on May 6, 1862. Davis served three two-year terms as Arkansas' twentieth Governor from 1901 to 1907. Although his administration was said to have "produced more politics than government", Davis succeeded in building a new state house and reforming the penal system. Davis passed away on January 3, 1913 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
