    Michael Avery “Mike” Ross was born in 1961 in Texarkana. Ross served as a member of the Arkansas State Senate from 1991 to 2000. He then when on serve as Representative for Arkansas’s 4th Congressional District from 2001 to 2013. He ran for governor of Arkansas in 2014, but lost to Asa Hutchinson.
