DescriptionCabinet card photograph of William S. Fincher, 1st Arkansas Cavalry. The photograph was taken by C.E. Watton in Fayetteville, Arkansas. On the back of the photograph in black ink: "Seahorn Fincher/Uncle Seah."

William Seahorn Fincher was born in 1838/1839 in Green County, Tennessee. Fincher enlisted in the Union Army at 24 years old on February 20, 1863 in Washington County, Arkansas as a private or corporal. He mustered into Co. B. of the 1st Arkansas Cavalry. He mustered out on August 23, 1865 in Fayetteville, Arkansas as a corporal.
