Dear Sir -
You have been named by The Executive Committee of the Confederate Reunion as a member of the General Reception Committee. If you accept the appointment (and I hope you will do so), your duties will be to go to the principal hotels, and as our comrades and guests arrive greet and make them welcome to our city. You will also go to the Auditorium on same mission, and if possible go out to Camp Shaver and meet as many of the veterans as you can. I hand you herewith a badge of your office.
