DescriptionProgram from the ceremony for the official return of Arkansas Confederate flags to the state. The ceremony was held on the steps of the Old State House on June 1, 1962. On behalf of the state, Governor Orval Faubus accepted the flags from Indiana Governor Matthew Welsh. The flags had been captured by Indiana troops during the Civil War.
The program lists all of the Arkansas battles in which Indiana troops were involved. It also lists Indiana soldiers killed in battle in Arkansas.
