Skip to main contentDescriptionCandleholder used in Civil War Era campgrounds. The hand-forged projection at the end of the candle holder would be inserted directly into the ground with the cup portion just above the surface. The metal is heavily oxidized, suggesting that it may have been excavated or "dug".
